In case you are wondering, some of the signs that you might be infected with intestinal parasites include bloating, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, stomach aches, fatigue and so forth. But getting confirmation from your doctor should be a necessary step just to ensure that you are not dealing with something else entirely.

The parasites are often transmitted through the consumption of food contaminated with fecal matter. This often happens when living in places with poor sanitation, hygiene or infested with these parasites. A weak immune system can also lead to infection with these parasites.

Some of these parasites are protozoa, and these can multiply several times within the body, increasing significantly in number. Examples of protozoa include Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Other parasites are helminths, which are warms of larvae that don’t multiply in the body, for instance, hookworms, tapeworms, and pinworms.

And even after you have used these natural remedies and have reason to believe the parasites are gone, you should get an additional test to confirm that you no longer have any parasites living in your body.

Papaya Seeds

Papaya seeds have been proven to be very effective against intestinal parasites. A study was actually done in which children were given an elixir made of papaya seeds, and the children who had this elixir had their bodies cleared of parasites later on. Papaya is also a top natural parasite cleansing solution because clinical studies involving rats showed this natural product to be effective at ridding rats of helmintic parasites.

Wormwood

Wormwood is effective against a helminth variant known as Heterobranchus longifilis. The use of this natural remedy results in the weakening of the membrane on this parasite, which ultimately results in its death. This is all due to the fact that wormwood contains sesquiterpene lactones, which are responsible for killing the parasites. Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin seeds are rich in barberine, cucurbitine, and even palatine, which have been shown to be quite reliable at destroying intestinal parasites. Pumpkin seeds are also rich in fatty acids, amino acids, among the named healing compounds. Using pumpkin seeds is a great way to destroy the parasites in your body.

Berberine

This compound is found in a number of herbs such as European barberries. Barberine has been proven effective against tapeworm infections.

Diet Changes

Some diet changes can also make the parasites in your body go away naturally. For instance, avoiding the consumption of refined sugar, coffee, alcohol and refined grains can be quite effective against many kinds of intestinal parasites. You only need to do this until the parasites die off, and then you can go back to taking your coffee and other foods as usual.

While avoiding some foods for a while can help kill some kinds of intestinal parasites, increasing the intake of some foods can also help you achieve these health benefits as well. For instance, garlic is great at killing off some kinds of parasites. So, you can increase garlic in your diet, as well as the consumption of sweet potatoes, carrots and foods rich in beta-carotene. This compound is known to make your body more resistant to helminths trying to penetrate your body.

In a similar way, eating foods that are rich in vitamin C and B can also help destroy some of the intestinal parasites in your body. Additionally, improving the amount of healthy bacteria in your body can also make your gut less favorable to these parasites. This should include consuming probiotic foods such as yogurt.

Intestinal parasites are common all around the world, even in the developed world. Fortunately, these parasites need not be a big bother, since you have so many natural remedies you can use to get rid of them.

Using papaya seeds, wormwood, pumpkin seeds and changing your diet a bit can help get rid of these parasites completely. So, if you have symptoms that prove that you might be the victim of these parasites, you can try out these natural remedies and continue living a healthy and parasite-free life once more.

However, once you get the feeling that you are free of parasites after the associated symptoms disappear, be sure to confirm this by visiting a hospital to have the status confirmed by a doctor.
