Here are some ways you can stay mentally healthy when recovering from an injury:

  • Set small goals for yourself
  • Visualize a healthier you
  • Focus on the present
  • Gather support from friends and family members

You may also want to consider finding a new hobby to fill your time. For example, if you were once a big runner and your injury isn’t allowing you to run, consider taking up painting or playing an instrument.
