If you love rock and roll, you need to get your tickets now. The Women’s International Music Network (WiMN) is hosting the She Rocks Awards at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the 8th annual rock awards will begin at 7:30 PM.
Honoring and paying tribute to women in the music industry, famous artists like Gloria Gaynor, Linda Perry, Lizzy Hale, and many more will be in attendance. Where To Stay
Since this part of Anaheim is a pretty popular tourist area, there are many great hotel options available if you’re traveling in from out of town.

They offer free parking, free internet access, and, most importantly, free breakfast. And if you ever feel a little guilty from overindulging, they also have a 24-hour workout room and a pool. The Wyndham Garden Anaheim is another hotel that’s popular with all kinds of travelers. Not only is it close to the House of Blues, but it also offers easy access to the Downtown Disney District and other family-centric local attractions. It’s perfect if you’re bringing along some little ones.
Transportation
If you are coming from out-of-town, then John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Orange County would be the closest airport to the event. Otherwise, if you flew in through Los Angeles Airport (LAX), then that’s okay too. It’ll just take a little longer to arrive. Either airport will have rental car options available.
If you prefer to commute and take mass transit, you can take the Disneyland Express Shuttle or a few transfers taking a combination of the LAX and Metro transit systems from Los Angeles International Airport. From SNA, you can take the Orange County Transportation Authority to the She Rocks Awards.
Dining
As mentioned, the She Rocks Awards will be held at the House of Blues in January. With that said, the House of Blues offers visitors a variety of food options from BBQ, tacos, fried chicken, pasta, steak, and more. The happy hour begins at 3 PM and concludes at 6 PM, offering snacks like sliders, popcorn shrimp, chicken tenders, and others with an ample drink menu.
Outside the venue, there is a Subway, Denny’s, Tony Roma’s, IHOP, Bubba Gump Shrimp, Cheesecake Factory, and P.F. Chang’s all within walking distance. So there isn’t a shortage of food options in the area.
Other Attractions
If you are pumped up after attending the awards and are looking to get into other things before heading out (or if you want to have fun and you arrived a day or two early), just like food options, there are plenty of other attractions to entertain you in Anaheim. The major ones would be the theme parks like Disney, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Adventure City.
